A restaurant with Mediterranean essence and a relaxed spirit with a suggestive name: Mimar, which connotes care and delicacy. The designer Francesc Rifé brings to life the interior design of this sophisticated space located in Playa de la Patacona, in Alboraya (Valencia), and for the terrace of the establishment he has chosen the Beam armchairs, one of the furniture collections he designed exclusively for Oiside.
The Mimar restaurant is led by chef Raúl Aleixandre and has a more formal interior space and an outdoor area of 600 square meters distributed in different areas. The materials chosen for the project are Canadian cedar wood, which runs through and surrounds the façade; native materials such as Valencian ceramics in dark tones, and metal structures that help distribute the spaces of the terrace.
On the terrace we find a bar for a more casual experience and a lounge area that is ideal for an having an aperitif or enjoying the after lunch, a relaxation space for guests with views of the beach and the sea. Here the Beam armchairs and side tables are the protagonists. The collection is made of iroko wood and the design plays with the planes and dimensions of the wooden slats providing a very expressive look. We remind you that both the wood and the upholstery are treated to resist atmospheric aggression and humidity, like all Oiside furniture.
In such an architectural setting, with certain reminiscences of the typical “chiringuito” beach bar and the brutalist baths of Alvaro Siza in Portugal, the furniture from the Beam collection brings volume, elegance and comfort to the outdoor space at the Mimar restaurant.
